Clean-up Description

Find the number next to your name and read the description of what your specific clean-up duty will involve.  If you are unable to fulfill your obligation on the date assigned, YOU will be responsible to trade with someone else or find a replacement.  : )

Number 1-GLASS:  You will find the Windex and paper towels in the storage room.  You will be responsible to clean the glass doors in the foyer, the glass doors to the fellowship hall, the glass doors by the kitchen, and the mirrors in the bathrooms.

Number 2-BATHROOMS:  You will find cleaner and paper towels in the storage room.  You will be responsible to wipe the counters and sinks in both bathrooms.  Please make sure that all of the toilets are flushed and wipe up any "piddles" on the toilet or floor.  Also, please return the step stools to the storage room each week.  If you have an older son, feel free to ask them to help in the men's bathroom, but realize you will need to check their finished product.

Number 3-FLOORS:  Check all of the classrooms (including the front and back of the fellowship hall), and the foyer.  Sweep or vacuum, as necessary.  The vacuum is usually located in the supply room.

Number 4-TRASH:  Check to make sure the classroom trash cans were emptied.  Empty any that need to be in the women's bathroom trash can.  Take the women's and men's  bathroom trash to the kitchen trash can.  Take trash from the kitchen to the dumpster outside.  Replacement bags can be found in the storage room for the bathrooms and in the kitchen for the big kitchen trash.

Number 5-LUNCHROOM:  This job would preferably be done immediately after lunch.  If we eat outside, which we usually do, bring one of the trash can from the kitchen down to the picnic area and take it back after lunch.  Check the picnic area for trash and forgotten items.  Check the fellowship hall to make sure folks that chose to eat inside, didn’t leave a mess.  If we eat inside because of weather, wipe the tables, make sure the chairs are cleared and pushed under the table, and vacuum the floor in any obviously needed spots.

Thanks for continuing to "cooperate" in our co-operative.  When we all pitch in like this, it should be easier for everyone.  Several families names have been omitted due to having other duties.  If you don't see your name this semester, enjoy your turn off and look for your name next semester.  : )  We should each only have to do this 4 or 5 times during the coop year.  Of course, if there is a legitimate reason that you or one of your older children is completely unable to do your assigned task, please let me know and we will try to find a job that is a better fit for you.
